Festival of Martial

February 22, 2005 The festival of the Martial arts devoted to Day of the defence counsels of Fatherland and Armed Forces of Republic a Belarus (by February 23) has passed in city Gomel at the urban centre of culture. Under the direction of the Chairman of union Alexander Iv. Kozyrev. BRPU of Jiu-jitsu and self-defense has shown a high level of preparation Jiu-jitsu and self-defense for children, young men and girl, men and women. The instructor of association have shown professional engineering of a self-defense against a cold steel.
In the program were demonstrated: sparrings and classical engineering of work with sword, protection against impacts by hands and legs, protection against impacts stick, and also engineering of detention and deduction attacking, respiratory gymnastics.
The receptions of a self-defense for the girl and women demonstrated: Marina Al. Tkacheva, Olesya N. Bragina, Olga V. Belaya. Also in the program children acted, showing engineering of a self-defense for younger generation.
On a festival there were representatives of authority of departments of physical culture, sports and tourism of city of Gomel and Gomel area. The high level of preparation of the sportsmen, pride of younger generation of the performances, and also adult structure acting was marked.
