8th OPEN JIU-JITSU AND SELF-DEFENSE
TOURNAMENT OF BELARUS
For organization and conducting of Tournament of Jiu-jitsu and self-defense the PRESIDENT OF BRPU of Jiu-jitsu and self-defenses Alexander Iv. Kozyrev has nominated of the following responsible persons:

The First Day
The first day - preparation, arrival of commands, collectings, conducting of the internal closed seminar for the members BRPU Of Jiu-jitsu and self-defense.
At a seminar the methodical instructions on engineering of conducting of battle in gloves - Category "B" and engineering of protection against 4-th assaulting were given. As the demands of a high level (not of a below brown belt 1st-kyu) participant of a Category "C", owning efficient engineering of protection against 4-th assaulting with the various weapon were underlined. The severity of exhibiting of a number for dynamics, speed of execution of receptions is noted. To participation in a Category "C" were admitted in the basic instructor on Jiu-jitsu and self-defense.
On Tournament 75 participants from some country have collected. The arrival for 100 men was expected, but many organizations having not time to decide financial questions, because of what their arrival was postponed.
The second day
The second day was broken on two parts with a break

Before the beginning of competitions has acted Alexander Iv. Kozyrev. He has specified some moments of rules of competitions, and also has wished successes.
On 8-th Open Tournamnet there was a Head of a department on physical culture, sports and tourism of the Gomel urban executive committee Alexander P. Pozdnyakov. He has acted before the participants of competitions, having wished more more than good luck, is smaller than traumas, having added thus set of the addressing words.

In first half of day the participants of a Category "C" and 1 and 2 circles of a Category "B" of all weight and age subgroups acted.
After 2 hour's intervals - final battles, decoration
All battles were interesting. The Jiu-jitsu battles are limited to two minutes. But as always they came to an end quickly, after surprise attack of one of óñòàíèêîâ, or prevailing of a high level one above another.
Jiu-jitsu battles are not valued by numbers. The outcome of a duel basically consists of conditional or actual removing of the opponent from a status of a possibility of conducting of battle, that is precisely reserved in rules of competitions.
In Tournament the commands with various styles participated. And each command necessarily exposed one or several strong fighters. In a category "C" the representatives only Jiu-jitsu schools acted.
On competitions there was a press.

Tomsk - 2nd command place
Club of Moscow - 3d command place
The matters of argument on the decision the main judge of competitions Alexander Iv. Kozyrev did not arise.
From the words of the representatives of commands, 8th Tournamnet has effected strong impression. The precise organization, high qualification of the judges, referee, judges is noted. The high preparation of the participants, as visitants of commands, and Modular Command of city of Gomel is especially underlined.
