Alexander Kozyrev trains since 1979. Since 1987 his teacher was Nikolay Vasiliev, In that year he and beginnings to be engaged in Jiu-jitsu. Since 1994 the teacher of the important key moments of real fight and life as a whole is Rick Reynolds. With 1985 began to develop Jiu-jitsu and self-defense in Belarus. In 1994 officially has registered the Gomel regional organization. By 2000 has frameed the largest organization of Belarus, working on a level of state organizations - Byelorussian republican public union of Jiu-jitsu and self-defense. By 2004 has brought up set of the Foremen of a High class, Followers of Idea of Jiu-jitsu and self-defense.
